We must've been separated at birth! I too have been reading up on Matt's blog, and weaning myself off of a low-carb diet. I feel a lot better, but I've gained a lot of weight. Too much stress, I guess, as usual. And I cannot give up coffee either. *sigh*

Hi Kandylini! Nice to talk to you again. I wonder if Matt hit that magical tipping point where he went viral.

I take an herb called ashwaghanda that's supposed to help us adapt to stress, and specifically is supposed to lower cortisol. There's another one that's supposed to lower cortisol called rhodiola, but I recently found out that it has estrogen-like properties and I'm trying to boost progesterone, so I no longer take it. Unfortunately my cortisol was still above the normal range even when taking both of them, but they may work in some people and not in others. FWIW. Ashwaghanda does seem relaxing but also makes me slightly sleepy, so I take it in the evening.
